PechaKucha and Posters
PechaKucha - devised and shared by Klein Dytham architecture (pronounced pe chak cha)
PechaKucha was devised in Tokyo in February 2003. Drawing its name from the Japanese term for the sound of "chit chat," it rests on a presentation format that is based on a simple idea: 20 images x 20 seconds. It's a format that makes presentations concise, and keeps things moving at a rapid pace.
Junction 2010 will host four sessions of PechaKucha taking place at twilight in an informal setting and the bar will be open. We are seeking expressions of interest from arts projects with a focus on work that is collaborative, innovative and relevant to regional, rural and remote Australia. For more information about PechaKucha please visit: http://www.pecha-kucha.org/
PechaKucha is supported by IBSA - Innovative Business Skills Australia
Poster Sessions
Poster sessions are informal presentations displayed in a dedicated room for individuals to walk around and view at leisure. With a few concisely written areas of focus, the poster display communicates the essence of the presenter's work or research, highlighting its main ideas with a brief narrative, illustrations, tables or graphs and other presentation materials. Junction 2010 will display posters for the duration of the conference and ask presenters to be available at the designated poster area for short talks at designated times.

Car-cophony
Car-cophony is a symphony composed for car stereos. It will be performed three times during the festival on Friday, 27 August at 7.30, Saturday, 28 August, 9.30pm and Sunday, 29 August, 3.30pm. For this performance, 12 drivers with their own cars (with working stereos!) will be required. It's gonna be fun! Fill out the Volunteer Registration Form to sign up.
Couch
Couch is an interactive installation that will bring the idea of home to Launceston's city streets. We are looking for couches that will be visually transformed and on display in various locations for the duration of the festival. If you have an old couch that you'd like to give up to this exciting project, please contact Krista Horbatiuk at krista@junction2010.com.au.
Ideal couch types are 2-3 seater, non-leather and quite comfortable. We are also looking for carpets.
