A Stitch in Time... Bringing Quality Arts Projects and Artists into Residential Aged Care Facilities: An illustrated evidence-based discussion about the important role of artists-in-residence implementing quality long-term arts projects in Residential Aged Care facilities. Illustrated by 2 case studies, this presentation will showcase the importance of a multi-model arts approach to help prompt residents' memory and foster a greater sense of community amongst them.
Don't File It: Use It - How Research Can Help Me: This panel discussion will cover a range of topics including the use of research as a practical tool for advocacy and the role of research in shaping and guiding cultural policy at a local level. It will also look at some practical hints to help you use available research to better argue your case rather than just filing it.
Little Aesthetics and the Droogs: The future of the Devonport Regional Gallery is reliant on many factors not least attracting a young audience. In a lively and entertaining presentation Ellie Ray and Geoff Dobson will discuss two recent initiatives, Little Aesthetics, and the Droogs and how they have impacted on young visitors to the gallery.
